Job Summary: Monitors patient conditions via live surveillance footage, communicating conditions to the Registered Nurse (RN), and coordinates response to provide healthcare. Assists with patient care, as needed.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification: Required

Nice To Haves

  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
  • Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
  • Recent experience in an acute or long-term care hospital: Preferred
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN): Preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) Health Care Provider certification: Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitors behavior, activities, or other changing information that affects patient safety via live surveillance footage under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Assists the Registered Nurse (RN) with patient care, as needed.
  • Collects basic patient data and reports abnormal behaviors to the Registered Nurse (RN) in a timely manner. Performs simple, routine tasks of care for patients and reports patients’ status and concerns to RNs.
  • Elevates questions, problems and significant challenges to more senior healthcare staff for direction or subject matter expert.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
