About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA) will work both inpatient and outpatient with Cambridge Cardiology. The position requires working Monday through Friday with one weekend per month. There is an opportunity to supervise stress testing.

Requirements

• Master's Degree (Required)
• AANP - American Association of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board
• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
• CNP - Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Association of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board
• CNS - Clinical Nurse Specialist - National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists
• RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing
• Must have a current RN license and maintain this license from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Must have current Certification and maintain this Certification from a national certifying body (AANP, etc.).
• Must have graduated from an accredited CNP program.
• Three to five years clinical nursing practice in the acute care setting.
• Requires full prescriptive authority within two years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Works under direction and in consultation/collaboration with physician.
• Assesses and evaluates patients, H&Ps, orders and interprets diagnostic tests.
• Assists in diagnostic and invasive procedures.
• Provides pre-operative and post-operative care, writes orders, discharges patients.
• Promotes quality outcomes and initiatives.
• Must have a standard care arrangement SC with a physician in like practice.
• Practices within applicable state laws, appropriate boards, and in accordance with standard care arrangement and delineation of privileges.
