About The Position

The Cambodian/Khmer Interpreter position is a freelance role focused on providing on-site medical interpretation services in the Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, and Maryland areas. The position offers flexibility in scheduling, allowing interpreters to choose their own hours and workload based on client needs.

Requirements

• Must possess valid U.S. work authorization.
• Must reside within the Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, or Maryland area.
• Must be willing to travel to client locations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have successfully completed or have intentions to complete a 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Course.
• Pass an Oral Language Proficiency Test in both English and Khmer.

• Experience in medical interpretation or related fields.
• Familiarity with healthcare terminology.

Responsibilities
