About The Position

The CAM Operator I contributes to the preparation of CAM programs for individualized dental prosthetic products, including crowns, bridges, overdenture bars, implant components, and surgical templates. Working with industry-standard CAD/CAM software such as Powermill, Hypermill, and Magics, this role supports the file review and setup process to ensure regulatory and production requirements are met. Under close guidance, the CAM Operator I develops technical proficiency and builds expertise while playing an important role in the product workflow.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or vocational education in manufacturing or engineering, required
  • Willingness to learn code programming fundamentals (Fanuc, Heidenhain)
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); SAP a plus
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) with attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies
  • Working English Proficiency (reading, writing, spoken)
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Must be willing to work overtime depending on business demands
  • Must be willing to work in shifts, based on shift schedule and depending on business demands
  • Must be able to stand, walk and bend for 8 hours during work shift
  • 0–1+ years of experience in CAD/CAM, CNC, or a related technical/manufacturing role, preferred but not required
  • On-the-job training is provided to support skill development and onboarding
  • Ideal for candidates with some hands-on experience or technical exposure through school projects, internships, or entry-level roles

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to CAD/CAM software or CNC machinery, preferred but not required
  • Experience in high-precision production (die making), pharmaceutical production, medical device, aerospace, automotive, or other regulated industry, preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing CAM files using designated software (e.g., Powermill, Magics, Hypermill)
  • Learn and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent quality
  • Review incoming customer orders for completeness and basic design compliance
  • Support the milling operation by prepping files for production
  • Communicate effectively with teammates and supervisors to resolve order issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation and data entry via internal systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Participate in training initiatives and continuous improvement activities
  • Contribute to a clean and safe work environment by following 5S and safety standards
  • Complete day to day tasks assigned by Group Manager (verbal/written)
  • Other duties as assigned
