About The Position

The School Bus Driver is responsible for safely operating the school bus according to a set daily schedule. He/she must ensure that the school bus is in good operating condition at all times, pick up and drop off students as per the schedule, maintain order and security on the bus, and obey all laws, regulations and rules of conduct. CCS is staffed by accepting, loving, and caring individuals, giving students the opportunity to grow in wisdom and knowledge in a safe, wholesome, Christ-centered environment. They will be a minister of the Gospel in this position by ministering and praying for and with the students and parents. They will also serve within the practical areas of this position. They will be an example to the staff, students, and parents..

Requirements

  • Must possess a current class B School Bus License or SPAB/passenger endorsement equivalent and approved DOT medical.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid School Bus Driver Certificate issued by the California Highway Patrol.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid First Aid and CPR certificate or pass the California Highway Patrol First Aid exam.
  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Desire to help and serve students, parents, and staff members
  • Willingness to learn school policies and procedures and work within them
  • Commitment to being punctual, professional, and discrete
  • Five years of experience in operation of a motor vehicle.
