About The Position
The Caltrans Highway Maintenance Worker position involves operating light maintenance and construction equipment, performing various maintenance tasks, and assisting with traffic control and winter chain control. Responsibilities include removing litter and dead animals, installing lane closures, flagging traffic, cleaning and repairing drains, and maintaining traffic safety devices. The worker may also assist with special projects, record keeping, and reporting. The position requires a valid California Drivers License and may involve working in extreme weather conditions.
