Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) is seeking a Call Center Sales Representative for its travel division, Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection (BHTP). This full-time position operates between 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM CST and is based in Stevens Point, WI. The role involves answering incoming calls from customers interested in travel insurance products, educating them on various options, and completing the sales process. BHTP provides training for new team members to become licensed travel insurance agents, and no prior experience in travel insurance is required. Candidates with strong customer service skills and the ability to recommend products will be competitive for this role.

  • Answer incoming phone calls from customers seeking travel insurance products.
  • Ask questions to determine customer needs and recommend suitable BHTP Travel Insurance products.
  • Educate customers on different products and their benefits related to specific travel needs.
  • Complete the sales process with customers for selected products.
  • Assist current customers with plan questions, updates, or cancellations.
  • Potentially assist with some travel assistant services.
  • Prior customer service experience recommended, preferably 1+ years.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new accounts and updates to policies.
  • Experience in conflict resolution or de-escalating tense situations.
  • Proven experience in product or service is beneficial, but training is available for the right individual.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
  • Experience in sales or product recommendations is beneficial.
