About The Position

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) is seeking a Call Center Sales Representative for its travel division, Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection (BHTP). This full-time position operates between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM CST and is based in Stevens Point, WI. BHTP provides education and support for new team members to become licensed travel insurance agents. The role offers a salaried nonexempt wage with opportunities for performance-based bonuses. No prior travel insurance experience is required, making it accessible for candidates with strong customer service skills and the ability to recommend products effectively.

Requirements

• Prior customer service experience recommended, preferably 1+ years
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to learn new accounts and updates to policies
• Experience in conflict resolution or de-escalating tense situations
• Proven experience in product or service is beneficial, but training is available for the right individual
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls from customers seeking BHTP products (no outgoing sales calls)
• Ask questions to determine customer needs and recommend suitable BHTP Travel Insurance products
• Educate customers on different products and their benefits related to specific travel needs
• Complete the sales process with customers and selected products
• Assist current customers with plan questions, updates, or cancellations
• Potentially assist with some travel assistant services
