The Call Center Representative at APL Credit Union plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional member service by providing a variety of functions that support the Credit Union's operations. This position is responsible for presenting and explaining Credit Union products and services to both prospective and current members, ensuring they understand how to utilize these offerings effectively. The representative will assist members in resolving account-related issues, requiring strong multi-tasking skills and a high level of customer service. Effective communication is essential, as the representative must represent the Credit Union in a positive and professional manner. In this role, the representative will accept and complete consumer loan applications from various entry points, including telephone, internet, face-to-face interactions, and mail. They will also handle member inquiries received through different channels, requiring the ability to document issues and prepare clear correspondence. A significant part of the job involves conducting needs assessments to introduce and explain available Credit Union products and services, while also ensuring the protection of members' identities and the Credit Union from potential fraud. The representative will support various functions related to lending and deposit services, including membership verification, processing of certificates of deposit, and handling deceased member accounts. They will also assist with online banking and bill payment enrollments, address changes, and member profile maintenance. The role may require acting as a Member Service Representative (MSR), Member Service Associate (MSA), or Teller as needed, including on Saturdays. Additionally, the representative will train new hires and current co-workers on policies and procedures, while maintaining information security throughout their work.
