About The Position

The Call Center Representative is an integral part of the team that provides outstanding patient support services including answering the telephone, scheduling appointments with providers, documenting information in the electronic health record system and performing related general office duties in our health organization. General Duties and Responsibilities: Take patient calls and provide accurate answers to their scheduling needs, questions and concerns. De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied patients, offering support and assistance. Verify patient demographic information and insurance and make any changes needed. Take messages and transfer calls to clinical staff and providers as appropriate. Provide necessary information to pharmacies, medical records, and referrals department. Additional Responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic computer skills, Excel, Word and how to use Electronic Medical Records.
  • Experience with patient centered care.
  • Punctuality and impeccable attendance.
  • Excellent communication skills with both professionals and patients from all demographics.
  • Non-judgmental approach to patient care.
  • Technical skills with required office equipment.
  • Patience and great attention to detail.
  • Completely understand the healthcare privacy laws as outlined in HIPAA.
  • LGBTQ+ cultural competency.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team-based care .
  • Ability to adapt to a work environment that is constantly changing and not always structured.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and, at times, excited atmosphere.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and demeanor.
  • Ability to multi-task.
