About The Position

The second shift Calibration Technician performs a variety of activities involved in the comparison of measurement devices of unknown accuracy to a measurement device of known accuracy in order to detect, correlate, and report any variations in the accuracy of the device being compared. This position is part of the Quality Assurance department and will be located onsite in New Port Richey, FL. The work schedule is Monday thru Friday from 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM and overtime is routine.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or local equivalent (i.e., GED).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of quality control, manufacturing or metrology experience in an Aerospace, Military, or Machining Manufacturing ISO9001/AS9100 environment.
  • Knowledgeable in interpreting complex engineering part drawings and blue-print reading.
  • This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and SAP or similar ERP System.
  • Gage Trak calibration software.
  • Understanding of developing Gage R&R for measuring equipment.
  • Familiar with or knowledgeable of ISO 17025 requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate equipment tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Pin Gages, Thread Plugs, Thread Rings, and Height Gages) to ISO-9000 and ANSI Z540-1 requirements.
  • Kit gages after calibration as required.
  • Knowledgeable of Calibration Requirements for Ovens (AMS-2750, ASTM E-29), Measuring Equipment, and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Conduct plant wide audits for calibration compliance and maintain Value Stream daily management boards for output of calibration audits.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and track statuses of calibrated internal equipment inventories and outside Calibration vendors.
  • Electronic data entry for calibration certifications, and review of certification records for completeness and accuracy.
