Looking for a detail-focused technician who takes pride in a job well-done… Primary responsibility will be performing calibrations on a wide variety of equipment, utilizing calibration standards for pressure, temperature, flow, conductivity, and other equipment functions. Competently operate calibration standards, hand and power tools. Other responsibilities can include filter certification, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and performing preventative/predictive maintenance. Understand and utilize Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) when completing assigned work and paperwork such as work orders, SOPs, SAP (CMMS System), and equipment logbooks. Learn and comply with regulatory requirements such as APHIS, VMD & OSHA. Incumbent may be required to perform Hazardous Waste Pickup and understand and comply with hazardous waste training. Incumbent may be required to perform HAZWOPER clean up. Actively develop skills by completing training and job progression steps. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or GED required.
  • A technical aptitude.
  • SAFELY work in an industrial environment using approved procedures, i.e., Lockout/tagout, confined space, line break, right to know, PPE, etc.
  • Have experience in the use of hand and power tools…it’s Maintenance after all,
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.…never more,
  • Work in areas that may be hot, cold, stinky, noisy, ultra-clean, or require additional PPE.
  • May be exposed to temperature variations, prolonged standing, or walking
  • Valid drivers’ license may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a technical field such as Electro-Mechanical.
  • Relevant experience in Pharmaceutical or Food manufacturing.
  • Previous calibration experience is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in regulated (FDA, USDA, etc.) or GMP-industry preferred.
