About The Position

Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As a part of our growing quality team, this role will partner with our calibration engineer to ensure the measurement & test equipment used to build space vehicles and rocket engines are calibrated and cycled on schedule.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in Calibration
  • HS Diploma + calibration related technical training
  • Familiarity with the operation of measurement and test equipment.
  • Comfortable utilizing a computer to maintain, organize & track technical information

Nice To Haves

  • Military PMEL or Post-Secondary metrology training
  • Experience with industry calibration standards (ANSI NCSL Z540.3, ISO/IEC 17025)
  • Experience with industry quality and configuration control system methodologies (AS9100, ISO:9001)
  • Experience developing, operating and maintaining calibration systems & procedures
  • Experience in customer service

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration of measurement & test equipment in a lab environment.
  • Manage calibration work queues to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Assess calibration documentation provided by 3rd party vendors for compliance.
  • Maintain physical and digital organization of work to ensure efficiency in the calibration lab.
  • Utilize multiple data systems to determine and fulfill customer requirements.
  • Maintain accuracy of calibrated item data & status.
