Pay range is $19.00 - $23.00 / hr Calibration Technician Apprentice is the position into which successful Technician Trainees are promoted. The position requires successful competency within two (2) disciplines and completion of learning activities as assigned. Proficiency and expertise are determined in accordance with Transcat’s technician skills progression matrix. Technician Apprentices are expected to continue their development path and skill building necessary to perform calibration work independently within the lab environment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience or training in electronics or machining
  • Basic mathematical skills including algebra, geometry, and statistics
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Basic organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision and direction of technicians within the lab, learn calibration fundamentals, which can include dimensional, electrical, pressure, and temperature
  • Develop skills necessary to perform calibrations independently
  • Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Company requirements and standards
  • Other duties as assigned
