The Calibration Technician A will apply knowledge of measurement science, mathematics, physics, and electronics to calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment in the Acoustical, Chemical, Dimensional, Electrical -- DC/Low Frequency, Electrical, RF/Microwave, Fluid, Mechanical, Optical, Thermodynamics, and Time & Frequency disciplines to ensure measurement accuracy. The Calibration Technician Apprentice will identify and utilize appropriate manual and automated measurement procedures. This position will normally receive detailed instructions on work, acquire job skills, learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks, and work on assignments that are routine in nature where limited judgment is required. The Calibration Technician Apprentice will perform laboratory housekeeping and may be required to report opinions and interpretations. The position .is not required to modify methods, develop new methods or validate new methods.
