Lockheed Martin is seeking to hire a Calibration Project Engineer to support the Engineering and Technology (E&T) Department in Chelmsford, MA. This role will support the Engineering Services as the test equipment custodian, responsible for planning and scheduling vital calibration activities for engineering and production test equipment. Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Formulates plans for calibration compliance according to company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Coordinates activities while considering technical developments and program schedules. The ideal candidate will develop the processes and best practices for coordinating the calibration of production test stands to minimize downtime while evolving and improving processes over time. Duties include: utilizing the IndySoft calibration system of record to enter new equipment into the calibration system; acting as lead investigator for risk identification notices, coordinating equipment repairs or disposition as required; and conducting inventory of customer owned equipment. The Calibration Project Engineer will work closely with Production Supervisors, Engineers, Security, Quality, and Lab personnel to identify, plan and execute activities required to maintain ready-to-use equipment.

  • Capable of managing multiple, overlapping tasks while adhering to company and government standards.
  • Adept at communicating and collaborating with other E&T members and other functions within the Chelmsford site.
  • Proficient data reporting skills, MS Excel or other data tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction once a task is clearly communicated and understood.
  • Candidate must be eligible to obtain a secret clearance and obtain an interim secret security clearance before starting the position.
  • Experience using Tableau, Excel, or other data tools to develop repeatable processes for data cleaning, manipulation, and filtering for reports.
  • Experience manipulating large datasets; pivot table knowledge a plus.
  • Analytical with an investigative approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience with specialized application software (SAP).
  • Experience working in a defense company with engineering or manufacturing background.
  • Familiarity with functionality of basic electronic components.
