About The Position

Our cutting-edge science and robust clinical pipeline form the broadest PRAME franchise with the most PRAME indications and modalities, spanning TCR T-cell therapies and TCR bispecifics. We are seeking a Calibration/Maintenance Technician II to join our Facilities Engineering & Technical Operations team. This hands-on role is responsible for performing calibration, maintenance, and qualification activities on GxP and non-GxP equipment and infrastructure. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Asset Lifecycle, the Technician II supports the full equipment lifecycle-from installation and startup to decommissioning-by executing calibrations, preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and assisting with commissioning and qualification. The role requires collaboration across departments, accurate documentation, and a strong focus on equipment reliability and compliance. Success depends on technical proficiency, attention to detail, effective troubleshooting, and clear communication in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in calibration and/or facilities maintenance.
  • Trade School Certification in a relevant technical field with at least 3 years of experience in calibration and/or facilities maintenance.
  • Valid Technical License applicable to calibration or maintenance work, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology or a related discipline with at least 2 years of directly related experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in calibration and/or facilities maintenance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and sound judgment when diagnosing and resolving equipment or operational issues. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom gowning protocols and experience using sanitizing agents for equipment cleaning and disinfection procedures.
  • Preferred experience using an Asset Management System, specifically Blue Mountain RAM software.
  • Desired experience working with a Continuous Monitoring System, particularly Vaisala viewLinc software.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine calibrations and preventive maintenance on GxP and non-GxP equipment to ensure regulatory compliance, optimal functionality, and equipment longevity.
  • Plan, schedule, execute, and document all calibration and maintenance activities in accordance with internal procedures, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support equipment qualification initiatives, ensuring alignment with operational readiness and project timelines.
  • Participate in the equipment lifecycle process, including installation, startup, and preparation for qualification.
  • Verify equipment performance against defined specifications and tolerances to ensure continued operational integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues; perform minor repairs and coordinate with external service providers when advanced repairs are required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce equipment downtime and maintain production and operational continuity during maintenance and qualification activities
  • Coordinate and oversee third-party service providers to support calibration, maintenance, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in procurement and planning by identifying necessary tools, components, and materials; prepare purchase requests and support the requisition process.
  • Organize, prioritize, and manage daily tasks and project-based assignments; communicate execution challenges and progress updates to the supervisor.
  • Create SOPs as needed.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the Continuous Monitoring System (CMS), including environmental and equipment-specific parameters such as temperature, humidity, pressure, and CO₂ levels.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory frameworks, including FDA 21 CFR Part 211, ISPE GAMP 5, ISO 17025, and NIST standards.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats, across individual and group interactions.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, regulated environment while maintaining high standards for quality and compliance.

  • Support inventory management efforts by identifying required spare parts and assisting with sourcing and procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with peers by sharing technical knowledge and offering informal support to promote team efficiency and consistency.
  • Assist in investigations of equipment-related deviations by providing technical input and documentation as needed.
  • Stay informed of industry best practices, regulatory updates, and technical advancements; engage in relevant training and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain dependable attendance and flexibility to work off-hours, stay late or come in on short notice-including weekends, holidays-based on operational needs.
