We are seeking motivated candidates for an Electrification Calibration Tool Engineer position in GM's Global Electrification Calibration group at the Milford Proving Ground. This role is a hybrid between tool ownership and hands-on calibration for GM’s electrified vehicle portfolio. The selected engineer will: Own and maintain the primary automation tool (scripted in Python) that generates Serial Data and Platform Configuration calibrations. Collaborate with other teams who develop similar tools to identify where our automation can be reused by them and where we should adopt or align with their tooling. Hold direct calibration responsibility for one or two vehicle programs, ensuring robust feature and diagnostic performance. While the role is more tool-focused than a traditional calibration position, it still includes some in-vehicle and lab activities, along with related analytical and performance verification work. Calibration engineers engage in cross-functional teams, are expected to handle multiple projects/priorities, and frequently need to balance planned and unplanned work. A typical week may include analytical calibration work, tool development and support, and collaboration with algorithm/software, hardware, and greater calibration teams. This position will support electrification calibration of Serial Data and Platform Configuration on GM vehicles. The selected candidate will deliver calibrations that ensure feature/diagnostic functionality and robustness. Successful candidates will utilize system hardware/software troubleshooting skills to resolve issues and complete their calibration standard work, and will own the development and maintenance of tools that automate configuration calibrations.
