About The Position

The Caldwell Elementary Teacher for the 26/27 School Year is responsible for demonstrating strong content and pedagogical knowledge, understanding student development and individual needs, and utilizing appropriate resources. This role involves designing rigorous lessons and assessments aligned with learning standards, fostering a respectful and positive classroom environment, and effectively managing student behavior and classroom procedures. The teacher is expected to communicate effectively with students, parents, and administrators regarding student progress and issues, deliver high-quality instruction, and provide consistent feedback. Continuous professional growth, maintaining accurate records, managing classroom supplies, and participating in the professional community are also key aspects of this position. Additionally, the teacher will supervise students, sponsor extracurricular activities, and report any suspected child endangerment.

Requirements

Must have current Arkansas teaching license and certification for the grade level or subject area assigned to.
Successful completion of pre-employment background checks.

Provide timely, consistent, and high-quality feedback to students.

Maintain accurate and complete records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
Select, store, order, issue and inventory classroom equipment, materials and supplies.
Effectively communicate with families to discuss children's progress and needs.

Report to proper authorities any cases of suspected child endangerment, neglect, or abuse.
Enforce all administration policies and rules governing students.
Attend all professional meetings, educational conferences, and professional development sessions.
Assist in the supervision of students (such as in school libraries, hall and cafeteria monitoring and bus loading and unloading).
Sponsor extracurricular activities such as clubs, student organizations and academic contests.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or other administrators.
