About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides decorated cakes by preparing and decorating cakes, cupcakes, and icebox items according to recipes and brand standards. Upholds the core values of the organization and its mission while consistently presenting and promoting brand integrity, product quality, and customer service standards.

Requirements

  • At least one year of professional kitchen experience required or a degree from an accredited culinary school or program.
  • Hands-on, flexible, and highly responsive.
  • High energy, positive person who takes pride in his/her work.
  • Able to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Follows all policies and procedures.
  • Takes direction and constructive criticism well, will ask questions if need be.
  • Understands expectations of role and works within the boundaries of the role.
  • Organized, good time management skills.
  • Hours of work for this position are approximately 40 hours per week.
  • Food sanitation, teamwork, quality focus, job knowledge, safety management, multi-tasking, dependability, thoroughness, strong verbal, and written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for fulfilling the production list, given by management, which includes all cakes for orders and house and/or prep items.
  • Must be able to execute all recipes consistently according to the recipes and standards.
  • Ensures all decorated items reflect the highest standards of quality, consistency, aesthetics, and taste.
  • Must demonstrate safe food handling practices and follow safety procedures for using equipment and cleaning supplies.
  • Responsible for operating and monitoring proper functioning of equipment to include mixers and choppers; following safety procedures for using equipment; sanitize work area during and after use.
  • Exhibits great customer service when needed.
