About The Position

SUMMARY The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. Bakery clerk must possess reasonable knowledge in storing, preparing, and maintaining bakery products. Clerk is responsible for slicing, pricing, and packaging product, as well as maintaining shelves, cases, and displays. Clerks are also responsible for setting an example in providing attentive and courteous customer service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Bakery operations, safety, and sanitation Maintain proper shelf/display conditions through cleaning, straightening, and rotating products Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of product Take customer orders accurately for cakes or other specialty items as needed Complete all necessary paperwork relating to Bakery Department Maintain a Clean as you go policy Maintain adequate supplies Minors may work in a sales capacity, packaging and limited production Minimize shrink through proper handling and storing of product MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be at least 16 years of age and 18 yrs. of age to perform certain functions/tasks EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions Possess basic computer skills Possess strong communication skills   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS EQUIPMENT USED Mixer (must be 18 years of age) Oven (must be 18 years of age) Fryer (must be 18 years of age) Proofer Pallet Jack (must be 18 years of age) Pan washer (must be 18 years of age Slicer (must be 18 years of age) Baler/compactor (must be 18 years of age) Jelly pump Ladder (must be 18 years of age) Knife/ Box cutter (must be 16 years of age) Computerized label machine Computer

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age and 18 yrs. of age to perform certain functions/tasks

Responsibilities
