About The Position

As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for driving member service in the bakery area, ensuring members receive high-quality products. This role involves collaborating with other associates to meet member expectations and educating them on tools and resources. Key responsibilities include planning bakery productions, maintaining consistency in quality and accuracy of decorative designs, and following recipe instructions. You will work with various decorating tools like bags, tips, and nozzles to create decorative elements on bakery items. Adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management is crucial. The position requires operating, maintaining, and sanitizing equipment, and understanding product and layout execution. You will leverage digital tools to enhance sales, improve the shopping experience, and boost associate engagement, using handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, ordering, training, and product quality. The role also entails managing the bakery area's performance, ensuring quality and date control, minimizing waste, and preparing for seasonal events such as holidays and graduations. You will identify member needs, assist with purchasing decisions, and resolve concerns. As a brand advocate, you will model high-quality service, interact with associates to address roadblocks, and assist in their training and development in a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented manner. Additionally, you will comply with company policies, complete work assignments, embrace diversity, build strong relationships, act with integrity, serve customers, and strive for continuous improvement and learning.

Requirements

  • 6 months' experience in fresh production area
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period

Responsibilities

  • Drive member service in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less
  • Work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations

  • Work with a variety of products for example decorating bags tips nozzles to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards sanitation guidelines cold chain compliance and inventory management

  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement
