As a Cake Decorator, you will drive member service in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. Requirements

  • 6 months' experience in fresh production area.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if the position is received.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources.
  • Communicate and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service.
  • Be flexible to the needs of the business.
  • Maintain in-stock levels and control shrinkage.
  • Plan bakery productions, ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs.
  • Follow recipe measurement instructions.
  • Work with a variety of products (e.g., decorating bags, tips, nozzles) to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management.
  • Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment.
  • Demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution.
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement.
  • Utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality with the member in mind.
  • Adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
  • Drive the performance of the bakery area, ensuring quality and date control standards and eliminating waste.
  • Prepare for seasonal events that impact bakery volume (e.g., holidays, graduations, family events).
  • Identify member needs, assist members with purchasing decisions, and resolve member issues and concerns.
  • Be a brand advocate by valuing the members' experience in Bakery and modeling high-quality service and products.
  • Interact with associates to understand roadblocks and assist in training, developing, influencing, and inspiring them for working in a style that is respectful, supportive, and team-oriented.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
  • Identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carry out tasks, communicate progress and information, and determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities.
  • Adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.
