About The Position
Do you have experience crafting beautifully decorated cakes and desserts? Nugget Markets is looking for someone who takes pride in the details and has experience producing a large number of cakes/desserts in a retail setting to join our talented team of cake decorators. Individual associate hourly rates are based on factors including experience, location, and length of employment. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and write in English
- An eye for color, texture and design with an attention to detail
- Experience in a retail environment producing a large number of cakes/pastries
- Ability to work at a fast pace while staying focused on completing individual tasks
- Basic understanding of the English language, which includes the ability to communicate, read and write basic instructions, schedules and signage
- A positive attitude is essential!
Responsibilities
- Support the bakery in stocking our case with an abundance of fresh, beautiful, high-quality products
- Provide world-class service to our guests
- Prepare a variety of cakes, desserts and pastries consistently at a high rate of speed
- Mix creams, sauces, fillings and icings
- Apply finishing work to cakes
- Take guest orders by phone and in-person
- Assist the bakers and bakery clerks as needed while maintaining a clean, sanitary and attractive work environment
