About The Position

As a Cake Decorator at Food City, you will ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times in support of the company mission to 'Run the Best Store in Town'. You will maintain a positive attitude and create an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork. Your role will involve generating a positive, friendly, and fun working environment with a customer-first initiative by greeting and speaking to customers, providing prompt, courteous, and efficient customer service. You will prepare and produce quality food and products to meet or exceed our customer and company expectations, decorate specialty cakes, including the use of a photo cake computer, and maintain cookie and cake cases. Additionally, you will take telephone orders for food and specialty cakes, assist in proper rotation and dating of food service products, and be responsible for maintaining product inventory and ordering. Keeping your display case, workstation, and area around your workstation neat and clean is essential, as is ensuring that all special cake orders are ready for delivery to customers on time. Food Service Associates should expect to be cross-trained in multiple areas with varying responsibilities.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food service experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks.
• Ability to have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts.
