About The Position
As a Cake Decorator at Albertsons, you will play a crucial role in maintaining an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness, with a strong emphasis on providing fast and friendly customer service. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting customers with product suggestions, filling special orders, and providing food preparation advice. You will be expected to engage in suggestive selling techniques through various channels, including telephone and in-store interactions, ensuring that customer needs are met effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for decorating cakes according to specific instructions for special orders, which includes trimming, cutting, and shaping cakes to the required sizes. You will ice cakes, create designs, and write messages using icing, demonstrating your creativity and attention to detail. Additionally, you will be tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and visual appeal of the bakery case, ensuring that all products are stored properly to maintain quality. You will also assist with various bakery tasks, including slicing bread, proofing, baking, packaging, and icing products. It is essential to maintain proper cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in the bakery area and equipment. You will be responsible for controlling inventory levels, ensuring product freshness, and adhering to company policies and guidelines. This position requires a good understanding of bakery operations and the ability to follow and maintain department standards.
