About The Position

The Cage Vault Cashier at Apache Lonestar Casino is responsible for managing and accounting for cash transactions within the casino environment. This role involves preparing daily cash deposits, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with casino policies and regulations. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and guests.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred; technical school or formal apprenticeship may be required.
• Knowledge of personal computers, player tracking card systems, gaming devices, and safety equipment.
• Strong computer skills, including effective working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
• Knowledge of finance/cage related management, information, and reporting systems preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills required.
• Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a casino environment or similar financial setting.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Control and account for casino cash receipts and the cash check-out process for guests and other casino departments.
• Prepare daily cash deposits.
• Maintain supporting cash receipts documentation and accumulate information for daily and monthly journal entries.
• Balance all money transactions and paperwork.
• Perform all functions in accordance with established casino policies, procedures, and controls.
• Comply with established appearance standards and attendance policy of the casino.
• Promote outstanding team member and guest relations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, internal policies/procedures, and internal control protocols.
• Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.
