About The Position

Redeems slot machine vouchers and chips, settles slot machine jackpots and cancel credit pay outs with Slot Floor team members. Creates and records W2-G and MTL transactions. Issues chip fills and credits to gaming tables. Safeguards bankroll. Check cashing and cash advance responsibilities. Operates a cash dispenser. Essential duties include redeeming gaming chips and processing coins for customers, validating and redeeming slot machine vouchers, settling jackpots and CCPO’s, creating W2-G, 1042s, and W-9 tax forms. The role involves issuing table chips and credits, processing customer checks and cash advances, making even exchanges of funds, and accurately recording customer redemptions on MTL and NIL logs to comply with Title 31 regulations. It also includes verifying and preparing various banks (resort, Food & Beverage, slot) and deposits, counting and verifying team member tips, preparing currency and coins for kiosks and cash dispensers, safeguarding assigned bankroll, and using currency/coin counters. Other tasks involve sorting chips, selling and recording tournament entries, redeeming Free Play coupons, disbursing tournament/promotional payouts, issuing slot ticket paper, counting and recording all funds, preparing paperwork, balancing cash drawers, and resolving variances. The position requires providing exemplary customer service and executing all Cage/Vault Department’s internal controls, including balancing up to a $250K daily cash drawer. Punctual and regular attendance is essential. Additional duties may be assigned, and the team member is expected to strive for performance excellence through job knowledge, continuous learning, adapting to changing circumstances, and building strong interpersonal skills through collaboration and teamwork. A professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable demeanor is expected. This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) identified as a measurement of success, with feedback provided as part of the performance review process.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED Certification
  • One (1) year cashiering experience
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must have basic math skills
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Ability to operate 10 Key adding machine
  • Ability to count and sort coins and currency in large amounts
  • Ability to work under pressure with speed and accuracy
  • Ability to deal effectively and professionally with the public and casino team members
  • Knowledge of casino cash receipts and reporting requirements
  • Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with team members and supervisors
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required STGC Gaming License
  • Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening

  • Cash customer’s paper and E-checks, credit and/or debit card cash advances
  • Make even exchanges of funds throughout shift at team member windows
  • Accurately record customer redemptions on the MTL (Multiple Transaction Log) and NIL (Negotiable Instrument Log) to comply with Title 31 regulations
  • Verify all resort and Food & Beverage banks before issuing them to resort and F & B team members
  • Verify all slot banks before issuing them to Slot Floor team members
  • Verify all return banks and deposits
  • Count and verify casino, F & B, and resort team member’s tips
  • Verify and prepare currency and coins for the Ticket Redemption Kiosks and cash dispensers
  • Verify and safeguard their assigned bankroll
  • Use currency counter and straps currency
  • Use coin counters to count and verify coins
  • Sort and stack chips by denomination
  • Sell and record tournament entries
  • Redeem Free Play coupons for promotional and gaming chips
  • Disburse tournament, Poker Bad Beat and promotional cash and chip payouts
  • Issue and log disbursement of slot ticket paper to Slot Floor Team Members
  • Count and record accurately all currency, coin, vouchers and chips
  • Prepare appropriate paperwork in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Balance cash drawer with receipts and resolve any variances
  • Provide exemplary customer service as established by Sandia Casino’s customer service training
  • Execute all Cage/Vault Department’s internal controls
  • Responsible for balancing up to $250K daily cash drawer
  • Report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia
  • Perform additional duties as necessary or assigned
