About The Position

The Cage Cashier at Pioneer Crossing Casino is responsible for managing cash transactions within the casino cage, ensuring compliance with Nevada State Gaming Control regulations and internal policies. This role requires excellent customer service skills to provide a welcoming experience for guests while handling various cash-related tasks efficiently.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Previous cashier experience in a casino environment preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English language.
• Excellent math skills; ability to calculate money accurately.
• Gaming Registration Card is required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Reaching, bending, stretching, lifting up to 50lbs.
• Ability to work in a noisy, smoky casino environment.
• Ability to work in a small, confined, office-type setting.
• Excellent organizational abilities.
• Ability to handle cash, calculate accurately, analyze, and account for cash and coin.
• Excellent Customer Service skills.

Responsibilities

• Count in and balance cash drawer using cage count sheet.
• Complete sales transactions for cigarettes and other items.
• Cash out Casino tickets for guests.
• Add Free Play to Player's Cards as needed.
• Sign up and issue guests Player's Cards.
• Achieve company objectives in customer service by ensuring that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
• Cash Sports Book tickets if the Sports Book is closed.
• Pay out all jackpots to the manager on duty.
• Conduct an inventory of all cash and its equivalents.
• Answer incoming calls and transfer calls as needed.
• Be knowledgeable of and able to explain/promote all Casino and Marketing events.
