About The Position

As a Cage Cashier, you will be responsible for managing casino chips and cash at your assigned window. Your duties include selling and redeeming chips for customers, dealers, chip runners, and other relevant parties. You must perform all tasks in compliance with applicable legal regulations and requirements, always presenting yourself as a valuable asset to SRC&H and encouraging others to do the same.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Bank teller, heavy retail cashier, or general casino experience required
  • Upbeat, friendly and outgoing
  • Polished and professional demeanor
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and be detail oriented
  • Demonstrates flexibility- able to change schedule within the casino as required to meet the needs of the department

Responsibilities

  • Interface and provide first class 5-star level customer service to all guests and team members.
  • Ensure customer service provided always exceeds the criteria set by the Shoshone Rose Casino & Hotel.
  • Maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance at all times.
  • Follow through written and verbal instructions.
  • Communicate effectively with all guests and team members.
  • Follow all gaming regulations.
  • Adhere to strict gaming regulations, verify customer identification for large transactions, and report any suspicious activities to maintain the integrity of casino operations.
  • Convert gaming checks, vouchers, or chips into currency for gaming patrons. This includes cashing checks and processing credit card transactions.
  • Maintain cage security.
  • Determine cash requirements for windows and order all necessary currency or chips.
  • Verify accuracy of reports, such as authorization forms, transaction reconciliations or exchange summary reports.
  • Perform removal and rotation of cash or chip inventories as necessary.
  • Assist in training new team members on cage operations and customer service protocols, ensuring all team members understand casino policies.
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential functions for this position.
  • Strictly adhere to all SRC&H timekeeping rules and procedures.
  • Adhere to all department, HR and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform all duties assigned by the Cage Supervisor, Cash Operations Manager, or DOF including duties outside the daily job responsibilities, as needed.
  • Adhere to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
