About The Position

Located just east of downtown Kansas City, Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City is a Midwestern entertainment hub that offers something for everyone. Ameristar Casino boast one of the largest casino floors in Missouri, amazing dining venues and a newly renovated luxury hotel. Ameristar also offers convenient parking in a five-level, 2,660 space parking structure with an enclosed, climate-controlled walkway to the casino and entertainment center. Ameristar is seeking a Cage Cashier to join our team. The successful candidate will provide excellent guest service, safeguard company funds by maintaining an accurate cash count at all times. This is a highly visible role and the ability to provide excellent service to our guests and team members is essential.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate, understand and write English
• Ability to work with interruptions
• Excellent math skills are required
• Must have ten-key (calculator) skills
• Must have good communication and guest service skills
• Data entry/computer skills are required
• Always conduct oneself in a manner that reflects a positive and professional image
• Maintain a high level of personal integrity and moral conduct free of questionable association.
• Must be prepared to work over-time, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast paced 24/7 casino environment.
• High School diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

• Some college classes or degree preferred
• Previous casino cage or cash handling experience preferred

Responsibilities

• High attention to detail.
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Provide an outlet of sales and redemption of chips for internal and external guests (ex. main bank, fill bank and jackpot/fill window)
• Redeem gaming instruments, cash checks, and supply accurate information to guests
• Assure the security of company funds
• Maintain and assure the proper routing of the department’s paperwork.
• Balance the window impress total, sell checks and gaming instruments to the main banker
• This is a uniformed position, which requires that team members are in compliance with unformed appearance standards while on duty
