About The Position

The Cage Cashier at 7 Cedars Resort is responsible for managing cash transactions with gaming guests, ensuring accurate handling of currency, and providing excellent customer service. This full-time position operates during the graveyard shift and involves working in a fast-paced environment while earning tips. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to gaming regulations, and the ability to handle large amounts of cash efficiently.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must have 6 months of money handling experience.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal communication skills to effectively interface with guests and/or team members.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive manner.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing; accuracy in record keeping is strongly required.

Responsibilities

  • Safeguard 7 Cedars Casino assets and balances assigned bank.
  • Verify soft count throughout the shift.
  • Sell and redeem slot vouchers.
  • Redeem chips into currency for guests.
  • Process credit card, cash advances, and personal checks following strict identification guidelines.
  • Obtain and maintain full knowledge of Title 31 requirements.
  • Complete transactions and documentation in accordance with Gaming Regulation requirements and company policies.
  • Calculate and redeem Canadian currency according to current foreign exchange rates.
  • Attend all departmental staff meetings and quarterly team meetings.
  • Exchange coins for cash and handle all cash exchanges; maneuver cans of coins, bags of coins, and change cash-outs for customers.
  • Maintain appearance standards as outlined in departmental policies.
  • Provide information and explain Players Club benefits, property amenities, and promotions to guests.
  • Provide courteous service to guests and be cordial to all team members.
  • Demonstrate proficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail when performing transactions with money and/or filling out required paperwork.
  • Maintain a constant, regular attendance record.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Adhere to all general and department policies and procedures.
