Provide students with a well-balanced and nutritious meal Manage the preparation and delivery of quality meals for all food through the use of standardized recipes and instructions on the menus to students and staff Ensure that high safety and sanitation standards are complied with by staff to ensure the health and safety of both staff and students Ensure that food service program meets or exceeds federal, state, local laws and regulations Ensure the requirements in the area of meal service accountability are adhered to within district guidelines Prepare and submit requisitions for food and supplies according to menus and delivery schedules to meet the daily requirements of the assigned cafeteria Resolve internal issues and communicate issues that cannot be handled at local level to central staff Requisition small equipment, cleaning supplies and promptly reports needed equipment repairs to central office Supervise the work activities of the cafeteria including interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems Maintain complete records for program accountability including deliveries, cash receipts and meals served; follow and enforce district and departmental policies and procedures Perform all other job related duties as assigned by supervisor, principal and all department heads
