About The Position

The Cafeteria Playground Assistant will work at Monterey Heights STEAM Academy and Lemon Grove Academy Middle, supervising students during lunch and recess periods. The position requires the individual to ensure the safety and well-being of students while they are in designated school areas and on school grounds. The work schedule includes specific hours for each academy, with Monterey Heights STEAM Academy from 12:05pm to 1:20pm and Lemon Grove Academy Middle from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. The role is part of a work year consisting of 204 paid days per year.

Requirements

• Must have experience working with children in a school setting or similar environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Strong observational skills to monitor student behavior.

Nice To Haves

• First aid and CPR certification.
• Experience in a playground or recreational setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during lunch and recess periods.
