About The Position
To prepare food for our associates that will meet or exceed their expectations.
Requirements
- Must possess a basic knowledge of fundamental cooking.
- Must possess a basic knowledge of sanitation standards.
- Ability to read English and understand banquet event orders.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at a quick and efficient pace.
- Ability to operate kitchen and food service equipment.
- Ability to fill out a food requisition.
- Ability to work in a quick and efficient manner.
- High school education or equivalent preferred.
- Prior cooking experience.
- Florida Health Certificate.
Responsibilities
- Prepares cafeteria and all cold foods, salads, platters, trays, and salad dressings according to Hilton standards.
- Refreshes ice on salad bar and restocks plates, plastic ware, and condiments.
- Maintains the employee cafeteria in a clean and sanitary condition, including the following; sweeps and mops the floors daily, wipes down counters, empties trash, dusts and wipes down tables, cleans glass on buffet line, wipes down trash containers, and cleans area around beverage station, and sanitizes and cleans the soda and juice dispenser.
- Ensures all products and procedures follow health code regulations.
- Ensures all products are properly stored and labeled.
