By blending climbing, fitness, and food, we support active lifestyles and meaningful relationships, all under one roof. Our café plays a huge role in that experience. About the Role As Cafe Staff , you're a key part of how members and guests experience the Front. You'll deliver thoughtful hospitality, prepare quality food and beverages, and help keep the café running smoothly in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Location: South Main & Salt Lake City Front locations Pay: $19–$21/hour Schedule: Full Time (nights, weekends, and variable shifts required)

Requirements

  • Have 5+ years of professional experience , including at least 2 years in serving and/or cooking
  • Are 21+ with a valid Utah Alcohol Server Permit
  • Hold a current food handler's permit
  • Stay calm, organized, and positive in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate clearly and work well with a team
  • Can stand for long periods and handle physical café work
  • Care deeply about customer experience and consistency
  • Enjoy improving systems, checklists, and daily operations
  • Are flexible and open to supporting other departments when needed

Nice To Haves

  • Have barista or espresso experience (strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Welcome every guest with genuine, friendly service
  • Guide customers through the menu and help them find what they're craving
  • Prepare and serve food, coffee, beverages, and alcoholic drinks to spec
  • Maintain a clean, organized café - front and back of house
  • Prep ingredients and menu items with consistency and care
  • Monitor food quality, temperature, and presentation
  • Stock supplies and communicate inventory needs to leadership
  • Minimize waste and support food cost control
  • Collaborate with café leadership on menu ideas and operational improvements
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
