Aimé Leon Dore is seeking a dynamic Café Manager to join the team in Los Angeles, reporting directly to the Director of Food & Beverage. The Café Manager will be responsible for the management and development of their Cafe team, whilst ensuring an exceptional customer experience in our Café.

  • Oversee all café functions including stock management, vendor relationship management and daily reporting while ensuring compliance with company procedures and policies
  • Strategically recruit, train, and manage the Cafe team to ensure the successful day-to-day operations and guest experience, maximizing functions between Retail and Café
  • Exhibit excellent organizational skills to effectively plan and execute short- and long-term projects aligned with the global strategy
  • Optimize Café performance through continuous evaluation of existing processes and implement change where necessary
  • Effectively manage all Café-related budgets and financial planning, reporting to the Director of Retail and Senior Management team, advising on areas of business improvement
  • Uphold company standards through strong leadership, mentorship, and overall communication to the wider team
  • Oversee all Health & Safety requirements to ensure compliance with local and federal regulations and a well maintained and inviting environment
  • Ensure compliance with California’s Labor department regulations for the whole Cafe team
  • Create weekly/ monthly Cafe schedules for the team based on business needs and in line with financial budgets and guidance
  • Ensure correct timekeeping and Tip reporting for all Cafe employees and a timely submission to Finance and HR department according to the company's policies and local and federal regulations
  • Support the team as needed in all cafe related positions
  • Always demonstrate an authentic, best-in-class approach to customer satisfaction whilst role modelling for the team on best practices aligned with company guidelines
  • Greet guests with a genuine and warm welcome
  • Offer answers to questions and concerns to staff and guests with patience, confidence and professionalism
  • Maintain professional image while on duty with well grooming hygiene and prescribed uniform
  • Influence a fun and positive atmosphere by being approachable and professional
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Head Barista and/or minimum 3 years’ experience in café management
  • Demonstrates a passion and knowledge for specialty coffee & latte art
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and retail business systems
  • Proven ability to build, lead, manage and motivate
  • Proactive and motivated individual with an ability to take initiative
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills as well as good decision-making abilities
  • Salary Range: $65,000
