About The Position

As a Café Manager at The Pfister Hotel, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our café outlet while ensuring quality service and profitability. Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee has been a hotel icon for nearly 130 years. As one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. The Pfister Hotel has received AAA Four Diamond hotel status for 46 consecutive years. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in hospitality preferred.
  • 2+ years of food & beverage supervisory or management experience required.
  • Ability to manage and motivate staff effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily café operations, staffing, and scheduling.
  • Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction and resolve concerns quickly.
  • Supervise, train, and develop café associates.
  • Assist in controlling costs, labor, and expenses to meet budget goals.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth café operations.
  • Assist with menu planning and promotional activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Food & Beverage department.
