As a Café Host it will be your responsibility to tailor the Café experience to each guest providing food and beverage services in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in a superior level of guest satisfaction. Requirements
- Prior food, beverage, cash handling and hospitality experience preferred.
- Innate desire to serve and ability to maintain service and departmental standards.
- Basic knowledge of food & beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
- Learn table settings, service ware, and menu items.
- Proficient in English for menu comprehension, recording orders, and guest communication.
- Recall and promote menu items.
- Maintain professional demeanor and clean uniform.
Nice To Haves
- Prior food, beverage, cash handling and hospitality experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.
- Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system.
- Verbally communicate to server the table number sat and the number of guests.
- Escort guests to tables, hand them menus, wine list, and inform guests of specials.
- Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
- Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments.
- Maintain self-banking procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
