Hocking Hills Lodge and Conference Center located inside Hocking Hills State Park is seeking candidates for Cafe Attendant/Barista positions for our brand new grab and go market concept Cafe 22! Hocking Hills Lodge and Conference Center is a brand new 81-room lodge with 40 cabins, a full-service restaurant & lounge, and banquet facilities to accommodate up to 200 guests. Essential Functions: Inform guests about specials, answer questions on menu items, and interact with guests in a positive and friendly manner. Take orders from guests in the lobby café including coffee, tea, and other beverages and food items. Operate point of sale system; take and process payments. Prepare specialty coffee drinks including brewing coffee and tea. Serve items to customers. Prepare minor food prep and knowledge of safety and health procedures. Provide prompt and courteous service to each guest. Take inventory and replenish items as needed. Keep workspace and dining area clean and well maintained. Be an excellent team player with all departments of the hotel. Regular attendance in conformance with the schedule is essential to the successful performance of this position. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel operation. Please see your department or scheduling manager. Work schedule prescribed by the Food and Beverage Manager. Work overtime when requested and approved. You and your team must accept the role of an ambassador of the property for our guests. You make a major impression upon our guests, regarding their stay at our property. Model the right behavior by doing the right thing for our guests. Professionally represent the hotel and property when interacting with guests from the community and industry organizations. Proper uniform is required and maintaining a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per policy. Must comply with department appearance guidelines. Attendance, at all scheduled training sessions and meetings, is required. Channel guest comments, or unsatisfactory reports, to the Food and Beverage Manager or Supervisor on duty. Communicate shift/daily operations information, business needs, repair and equipment needs to Management Team. Notify your manager within 24 hours in the event you may have been injured on the job. Fill out any injury forms as required.

  • Ability to remain calm in a stressful situation.
  • Be dependable, flexible and possess an even temperament.
  • Most work performed indoors.
  • Temperature is moderately warm.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Lift 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to operate computer and equipment to make coffee.
  • Uniform is required.
  • Also, one must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
