About The Position

There is nothing like a day at the beach especially if you happen to work there! JBay, LLC strives to provide extraordinary hospitality for members of its beach clubs in Breezy Point, NY and are looking for variable (seasonal) associates to join our talented teams for the upcoming 2026 Summer Season. This is a seasonal position and the anticipated first day of work is in May 2026 and the last day is estimated to be in September 2026. This position is only available at the Silver Gull Beach Club. Café Associate Responsibilities Assist Café Manager and / or lead in ensuring that food and beverage items are prepared and serviced according to recipes Clean and maintain all assigned areas throughout shift, keeping all “First Guest Fresh” Work individually and with the team to surpass expectations in an efficient, motivated, and positive can-do manner. Adhere to all company recipes and safe food handling procedures Provide timely, courteous, and professional service to all guests Follow all health and safety standards, policies, and initiatives All other duties as may be assigned Requirements Knowledge of food preparation, storage, sanitation, and commercial kitchen equipment Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment and in proximity of other people Must be able to carry up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Frequent bending, twisting, lifting, and squatting will be required. Must be able to work entire season, from Memorial Day through Labor Day without any vacation, or time away from work. Always maintain a positive and upbeat attitude to ensure an excellent guest experience. ServSafe and / or state food handler certification Must be a minimum of 16 years of age Education & Experience Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (we accept high school seniors and juniors) Experience: One (1) year of Café experience Customer Service experience Hourly rate of pay $17.20 Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or protected veteran status and all other status protected by law.
