Cafe Associate (Seasonal, Closing Shifts)

For the Café Associate, this means creating a welcoming environment, assisting customers promptly and politely, maintaining clean and organized dining and service areas, and ensuring all food and beverage offerings meet Adams` high standards of quality and presentation.
Requirements
- Ensuring quality service to all customers.
- Personable and friendly to customer and coworkers/staff.
- Willingness to learn and demonstrate Adams’ culture and values
- Ability to learn and operate Adams’ point of sale systems
- Willingness to work collaboratively and communicate with a team of co-workers and managers
- Exhibit enthusiasm, positivity and/or knowledge about Adams’ products and quality
- Bend and squat; including, when scooping ice cream.
- Can see and hear and have great communication skills.
- Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 30 pounds
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for duration of shift
- Occasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shift
- Communicate with others to exchange information
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks including in tight and confined spaces
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, polite, and knowledgeable service to all customers
- Greet and assist customers promptly; thank them for shopping at Adams
- Perform opening and closing duties, including stocking and setting up self-service areas
- Keep dining area clean and organized, including tables, floors, and trash removal
- Operate cash register and POS system accurately
- Maintain supplies and notify manager when inventory is low
- Follow all safety, health, and sanitation guidelines
- Knowledge on the full menu of the Café
