The Race Sportsbook Writer provides excellent service to customers who place bets in the Sportsbook area. This role involves ensuring that all customers understand the various types of wagers, displaying patience with novice customers, and engaging in friendly conversations. The writer processes all cash transactions quickly and accurately. Responsibilities include greeting customers, inputting betting information into the computer, printing tickets, accepting money, and giving tickets and change to customers. The writer also maintains the bank, verifies winning tickets, handles customer concerns, explains wagering information, and updates betting boards or televisions for customer viewing. Attendance guidelines and adherence to regulatory, departmental, and company policies are essential. As a Race Sportsbook Supervisor, the individual assists the Sportsbook Manager in daily operations, acts as a brand ambassador for Caesars Entertainment, provides excellent customer service, coaches employees, and ensures compliance with departmental policies and procedures. Supervisory responsibilities include overseeing wagering policies, ensuring AML and Title 31 procedures are followed, supervising personnel for maximum productivity, coaching staff, ensuring betting limits are adhered to, and maintaining awareness of legislative actions affecting business opportunities. The supervisor also ensures customer recognition and development, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the proper functioning of facilities and equipment. Dispute resolution is handled by following posted house rules and working with local regulatory bodies.
