About The Position

ATA Services, Inc. is currently seeking to hire a Cadre to work on a temporary assignment located in Albuquerque. Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour with weekly pay Start Date: ASAP End Date: May 15, 2026 Location: Albuquerque Expo NM Grounds Schedule: Individuals interested in this position must understand and be able to work one of three 8.5-hour shifts (Morning, Mid-day, or Night – may be required to work in Santa Fe for a 2–4-week period). Program Purpose: The New Mexico National Guard Job ChalleNGe Academy (Job ChalleNGe) is a free, voluntary 17-month alternative program for youth aged 17-20 that is available to graduates of New Mexico Youth ChalleNGe Academy. The Academy is a five (5) month quasi-military residential program that provides job skills training certification to New Mexico Youth ChalleNGe graduates. Position Description: Personnel/position will perform highly complex (senior-level) care and teach living and life skills to Associates at Job ChalleNGe. Provide daily supervision, leadership, guidance, and direction in a residential environment on a 24/7 basis, and conduct and participate in daily physical training related exercises. The position is responsible for ensuring Associate compliance with policies and procedures in areas such as physical training, military protocol, service to the community, and daily living while on campus. Position will provide military structure, administer and teach the associate disciplinary process and provide direct instruction in the National Guard Bureau's Eight Core Components. The incumbent will coordinate student daily and weekly schedules to ensure that academic, physical training and personal development are completed, and program goals are met.

Responsibilities

  • Apply military practices and principles of guiding and training for an assigned team of Associates while exercising responsibility for their daily activities.
  • Instruct on the NMNGYCA Eight Core Components.
  • Provide military structure, discipline, and quasi-military training.
  • Utilize behavioral intervention techniques when required and/or directed by the supervisor.
  • Coordinate student daily and weekly schedules to ensure the academic, physical training and personal development are completed and program goals are met.
  • Implement daily program activities, including physical fitness programs, instruction in military-like customs and courtesies, to include drill and ceremonies.
  • Conduct Associate inspections and unit formations and rates cadet performance.
  • Transport and supervise Associates to off-site activities when required.
  • Provide general support for Academy operations and events.
  • Provide general first aid, if necessary.
