Job Summary The Caddie Master is responsible for overseeing the caddie program at the golf club, ensuring efficient coordination and management of caddies. Key duties include assigning caddies to members and guests, maintaining caddie training programs, and ensuring caddies provide excellent service on the course. The Caddie Master is also responsible for ensuring a seamless golf experience through effective supervision, scheduling, and overall program management. Reporting Structure Reports to the Head Golf Professional Day to Day Supervise caddie team, including scheduling and assigning caddies to members and guests. Ensure caddies adhere to high service standards, club policies, and quality expectations. Collaborate with golf professionals and staff to ensure smooth operations on the course. Monitor the course to ensure caddies are meeting service expectations. Maintain inventory and readiness of caddie uniforms and equipment. Ensure all safety protocols and guidelines are followed on the course. Train caddies in golf etiquette, member service and interactions, and course knowledge. Provide ongoing coaching to caddies to improve performance and service quality. Keep detailed records of caddie assignments, hours worked, and performance evaluations. Additional Duties Due to the dynamic nature of the club, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management. Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions. Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff. Follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same. Take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role. Address and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations. Attend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the team’s success. About You Preferred Previous experience in a golf-related position, ideally with supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, and course management. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage a team and maintain high service standards. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Customer service-oriented, with a commitment to delivering an outstanding experience for club members and guests. Physical Requirements Primarily outdoors with frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and humidity. Sitting, standing, walking, climbing/ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs., talking, hearing, and seeing. Primary Tools/Equipment Golf Clubs & Bag 40 - 50 lbs. Merchandise 5 - 30 lbs. Computer 25 lbs. Work Schedule Attendance requirements for this position as outlined on the weekly schedule. Additional hours are required to meet deadlines of the position, including weekends and/or holidays.
