About The Position

Metric is looking for a CADD Technician to join our Traffic Operations team. This position is responsible for developing and preparing transportation related construction plans using computer aided drafting and design (CADD). They will also ensure that plan preparation follows the appropriate design criteria, procedures and guidelines, while working alongside engineers and other designers. Day-to-Day: Knowledge of highway engineering design and terminology Specifically, knowledge of roadway design utilizing FDOT or similar standards, electronic delivery, utilities, signing and pavement markings, and signalization Skilled in use of CADD for design plans preparation and to perform calculations. Skilled at using Bentley MicroStation Connect and OpenRoads (or prior versions) preferred. Ability to communicate with other team members working on the same projects. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, particularly related to technical information. Ability to organize projects and tasks while staying on schedule and meet required deadlines. Requirements

  • 2 years + of related experience designing highway projects
