About The Position

The Department of Design and Construction, Division of Infrastructure is currently seeking a CADD Designer to join our Construction Management Unit – Construction Support - AS-BUILTS Team. Under the guidance of an Engineer-in-Charge, the successful candidate will prepare as-built drawings and working drawings, utilizing specifications and final estimates for roadway, sewer, and water main projects. The selected candidate may require participating in field surveys; engage in engineering investigations and studies; attend meetings; and prepare calculations and reports.

Requirements

• Only candidates who are permanent in the Assistant Civil Engineer title or those who are reachable on the Open Competitive lists (exam #1101 or exam #5015) may apply.
• Please include a copy of your Notice of Results or indicate if you are already permanent in the title.
• If you do not meet the previously mentioned civil service criteria, you will not be considered for an interview.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position.
• NYC Department of Design and Construction does not provide sponsorship for international employees for visa applications, extensions, or status changes, including STEM/OPT visas.
• Applicants are responsible for ensuring that they meet all qualifying requirements for this position, at the time of application.
• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in civil engineering and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in civil engineering work; or
• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and a Master's degree from an accredited college in civil engineering.
