The CAD Technician at Croy Engineering will play a crucial role in the Surveying Department, receiving supervision from the Department Manager. In this role, the CAD Technician will perform drafting tasks using AutoCAD and other relevant software. Responsibilities will include executing various design services, delivering and retrieving documents and files, and working collaboratively within a team environment. The technician will lead all drafting efforts and point processing for the Surveying Department, coordinating fieldwork completion, preparation of calculation sheets, and ensuring quality in drafting efforts. The role also involves reviewing boundary retracements with the Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) and assisting in streamlining the drafting process to enhance quality and consistency in plat development. Additionally, the CAD Technician will consult with leadership regarding training opportunities, assist in reviewing credentials for new hires, and help coordinate the creation of invoices and change orders when necessary. This position is located in Marietta, GA, and is a full-time opportunity that requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience in boundary and cadastral surveying, particularly with GDOT, ALDOT, or TDOT database preparation.
