About The Position
The CAD Technician creates and develops 3-D CAD models of parts, assemblies and drawings from existing digital 3-D CAD models, verbal descriptions, sketches and drawings. Develops CAD documentation compatible with tooling and manufacturing fabrication procedures.
Requirements
- Basic Engineering Aptitude.
- 3-D CAD Modeling Experience.
- Good Analytical and Quantitative Reasoning.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with CATIA CAD software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provides CAD support to New Product Development Engineers in the development and manufacture of marine products.
- Performs CAD documentation for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic & other marine systems and parts.
- Performs design engineering for manufacturability to achieve and improve best efficiency and quality.
- Develops and manages engineering bills of material.
- Verifies and applies Federal, ABYC, NMMA and International standards compliance for marine manufacture.
