CAD Technician
About The Position
The CAD Technician creates and develops 3-D CAD models of parts, assemblies and drawings from existing digital 3-D CAD models, verbal descriptions, sketches and drawings. Develops CAD documentation compatible with tooling and manufacturing fabrication procedures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides CAD support to New Product Development Engineers in the development and manufacture of marine products. Performs CAD documentation for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic & other marine systems and parts Performs design engineering for manufacturability to achieve and improve best efficiency and quality. Develops and manages engineering bills of material. Verifies and applies Federal, ABYC, NMMA and International standards compliance for marine manufacture.
Requirements
- Basic Engineering Aptitude.
- 3-D CAD Modeling Experience.
- Good Analytical and Quantitative Reasoning
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with CATIA CAD software is a plus
